This is the Diary of our 18 day motorhome trip around New Zealand.

We made this journey on the way back to the UK after a 19 year (where does the time go) stop in Australia.

At the time I posted the diary on to a popular travel web site daily as we traveled around the country. Suprisingly the site received over 3,000 hits in just a couple of weeks. I had originally intended the diary for the eyes of family and friends so it is a bit of a warts and all story.

Anyway I've posted it here as it may be of some use to people visiting the country.

There are two major things that we can say about our trip. Firstly we didn't allow anywhere near enough time to do it in, when we go back it will hopefully be for several months. On this trip I think we should have covered just one of the islands or maybe just a region of an island, we missed out so much.

Also it's hard for us to imagine anyone not having a good holiday in New Zealand. The weather that we experienced was with few exceptions glorious, but if it had rained for our entire visit (as it apparently can) we surely would have viewed things differently.
